Enel Green Power acuerda con SoWiTec desarrollar 7 proyectos eólicos en Chile

La empresa Enel Latin America, subsidiaria de la italiana Enel Green Power en Chile, ha firmado un acuerdo con SoWiTec Energías Renovables de Chile Ltda., filial de la alemana SoWiTec International, para desarrollar siete proyectos eólicos en el país, con una capacidad total de hasta 850 MW.

A través de este acuerdo, Enel tendrá exclusivo acceso a los diversos proyectos eólicos que están siendo desarrollados por SoWiTec, al mismo tiempo que tendrá derecho a adquirirlos una vez que estos estén totalmente autorizados.

Los proyectos, localizados en áreas de buen potencial de vientos, tienen una capacidad preliminar con rangos de entre 60 y 150 MW, y están habilitados para ser ligados al Sistema Interconectado del Norte Grande (SING) y al Sistema Interconectado Central (SIC) de Chile.

El acuerdo permitirá a Enel incrementar su presencia en Chile, donde desde 2001 opera dos plantas hidroeléctricas, Pullinque–Panguipulli, con una capacidad de 39 MW, y Pilimaiquen-Puyehue, de 51,4 MW. También está involucrada en varios proyectos geotérmicos.

Enel Green Power agreed to develop 7 windpower projects SoWiTec in Chile.

The company Enel Latin America, the Italian subsidiary of Enel Green Power in Chile, has signed an agreement with Renewable Energy SoWiTec Chile Ltda, a subsidiary of the German SoWiTec International to develop seven windpower projects in the country with a total capacity of 850 MW.

With this agreement, Enel will have exclusive access to the various windpower projects that are been developed by SoWiTec, while they could buy them once they would be fully authorized.

The projects are located in areas with good wind potential, having a preliminary capacity between 60 and 150 MW, and are authorized to be connected to the Interconnected System of Norte Grande (SING) and the Central Interconnected System (SIC) from Chile .

The agreement will allow Enel to increase its presence in Chile, which since 2001 operates two hydroelectric plants, Pullinque-Panguipulli with a capacity of 39 MW, and Pilimaiquen-Puyehue of 51.4 MW. Enel is also involved in several geothermal projects in Chile.
